The Nike Dunk ‘Lemon Wash’ is another massive step towards sustainable sneakers from Nike. The shoe is part of Swoosh’s Move To Zero, taking elements from the recent ‘Space Hippie’ collection but putting a proper Dunk spin on the design. The shoe was created with sustainability and protecting the environment in mind. The colour palette used is a unique blend of blues and pinks with various patterns intertwined. The eco-friendly denim uppers are covered in a mixture of patterns like tie-dye and stars. The mismatched design is different on every sneaker, so no two pairs are the same. The iconic swoosh comes in a lemon hue, whilst that same shade is used for the laces too. The midsoles are created from the sustainable Crater foam, whilst we see Nike’s Grind rubber infused into the outsole. The grind rubber initiative is using recycled scraps that are leftover from the manufacturing process. 2020 has already been declared ‘the Year of the Dunk’. The lemon wash is guaranteed to be a hit amongst sneakerheads around the globe.
